Ru Christman is a Scottish Artist Blacksmith and Sculptor based in Dundee and working in a forge in Fife.

They studied jewellery and metalwork at Duncan and Jordanstone, Dundee University, graduating in 2023.

Ru is drawn to studying unsual, unassuming natural forms, focusing on exploring the boundries of material and scale to create their intricate, botanically inspired sculptures.

Their work often explores the intersection of science, art and craft. Their process incorporates interdisciplinary research methods, contemporary digital processes and traditional hand skills such as welding, smithing and fabrication.
